I’ve been working with older adults and supporting those living with dementia for more than 25 years.

I’m passionate about sharing this knowledge and experience with others so that together we can transform the aging experience for our loved ones and communities.

I’ve been speaking and teaching for more than 15 years, and I’m active in professional efforts that support healthy aging and the experience of people living with dementia. Current roles include:

  • Core faculty member in the Dementia Palliative Education Network

  • Member of the Dementia Action Collaborative of WA state

  • Facilitator for the Alzheimer’s Association virtual educational experience for long-term care facilities

  • Co-Director for the Palliative Care Training Center at the University of Washington

Awards include the 2023 Geriatric Nursing Education Award by the Western Institute of Nursing, and the Nurses of Influence Distinguished Practitioner Award by the University of Washington in 2022.
